Doe's any one know off hand what the wattage rating is for the BC resistor, part #5365 on a Philco 90?
at some point in my 90's life something happened that caused the resistor and several other block caps and resistors to overheat. although the BC resistor still reads the correct resistance for all three sections, the coating over the 180 ohm section has broken off so I am guessing that I should probably go ahead and replace it. Thanks!

I don't know if that's necessary If the chassis is working properly the heating issue shouldn't be a problem. I had a problem with a model 20 where the heavy thread wound around the BC resistor had burned up/ flaked off. I would suspect that it is more of a protective coating so it won't be shorted out by coming in contact by other parts. You could probably rewind the thread over the resistor.
I'd say that your looking at a resistor that is 20-50wts.
