Hi Everyone!
I'm the new proud owner of a 1940 Philco 40-180. It was my grandfathers. I would've never guessed that there was a website like this but I'm so lucky to have found it. Here is some pics

Looks like a VERY nice acquisition you have made. Note that the band switch knob on your set is a 1936 band switch knob. You'll want to replace it with one that matches the other three knobs.

I've had a gentleman tell me that he has alot of original knobs and told me that he is sending one. I've learned so much about this radio in such a short amount of time and greatful for the amount of support that I've received from people. I can't wait to see the look on my fathers face when I tell him to turn it on. PRICELESS!

Now just lookin for some 1940 advertising for it now. If anyone knows of some please let me know. I've been searching ebay constantly.
