Padded Feet for Philco 38-15 -
WildDog - 05-14-2010
Ron,
1. I have a Philco 38-15 that has four padded feet. They look like a thumb tack and are just slightly bigger. On the underside is inscribed MATTATUCK WATERBURRY. Do you know if replacements are available?
2. I also need a back for a Philco 40-124. And the correct grill cloth pattern.
Thank you.

If these are the same feet as Philco used on their cathedrals and tombstones (and I suspect they are), these are no longer being manufactured (as far as I know). Many cabinet refinishers, such as Barry Jones, use small circular stick-on felt pads instead which do a better job of protecting the furniture they sit on top of.

Sorry, can't help you on the back. I suggest you put an ad in the
Philco Wanted section.
As for the cloth, that particular pattern is not being reproduced. A similar pattern is #8 from Radio Grille Cloth Headquarters.

The 40-124 in my site's Gallery does not have the correct cloth for this reason. The correct pattern may be seen on the 40-90CB:

This type of glide is available. A little bulky, though.

I use a nail-on plastic type from McMaster-Carr.
