41-290 Help
#16

You might also want to look into Edcor (www.edcorusa.com). I needed to replace the OPT for an RCA console last year. I found Edcor to have better prices than Hammond. Works great.

Also, the transformer you install needs to be hefty enough to be able to carry the plate current of the 41 tubes. If you get too small of a transformer, you'll burn it up. Not saying the Hammond can't, but just an FYI to you.

Good luck.

Yes I found Edcor long time ago and they do have great prices, but: their stock is almost never has the products, they accumulate orders and then build them. If one's willing to wait - then their prices cannot be beat.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

With 185v on the plates you are looking at about a 5watt replacement transformer. Primary will need to carry about 50ma tops.
