Hi guy's, just restored this radio got it working after replacing all cap's. My question is about the dial string, it is one on the radio but too loose to turn tuner. How many turns should it be on the shaft, this one has only two. Could not find a diagram on this dial string.
This radio had a factory paint job which is totally flaking off, will have to repaint it, looks like off white or ivory.

Problem solved, further investigation found that the grommets were shot on the mounting of the tuner, replaced them and all is good.
