Zenith 9S244 chairside line cord routing
#1

Picked up my first chairside, a Zenith 9S244 shutter dial from 1938. Am wondering where the line cord goes through the cabinet? It was just dangling under the cabinet and the cabinet was literally sitting on top of the cord when placed on the ground. This doesn't seem right (or safe). Does anyone know where it gets routed through the cabinet so it's up off of the ground?

Hi,

I could not find a better / more fitting thread...so I am writing here.

I have a shutter dial. Does anyone offer a service to restore dials like on that one? I do not even know where to start.

There is a video of a beautifully restored shutter dial on YouTube. I wrote to that person but have not heard back.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Do you need the whole radio restored or just the shutter dials? Radio Daze sells decals for them but they are tricky to prepare and put on. I might have some acceptable shutters if that is all you need.
