another one in my area for $150.  Worth picking up?

Those were somewhat popular and were selling for double that price for a few years before the 2008 recession hit. I never understood why. I guess they are decent performers, but there are better radios out there for the money.

Thanks Ron. I'm collecting too many of these things! Now I found a 38-2xx in my back yard for quite cheap. I need the bezel for my 38-116XX. I'm a sucker for these things!

thanks for the ebay heads up! I actually have a bid on one for $4. It, like this one is not in the greatest shape. I very likely will wind up with the 38-2xx for similar $$. It's bezel is in good shape, plus I have the whole radio. I'll put my polished brass one on it. You guys are great for finding this kind of stuff for neophytes like me!!!
