Philco 42-RP-2 bottom cover dimensions
#1

Hello all,

I recently purchased the Philco 42-RP-2 and it is missing the bottom cover. I found that FYLP provides a reproduction bottom cover for the RP-1 and it looks like it is the exact same, however the RP-1 was manufactured in 1939 and the schematics show a different part number for the bottom of the 42-RP-2, which was manufactured a couple years later.

Does anyone have an 42-RP-2 and/or an RP-1 that they could measure or compare the bottom covers to and see if they are the same?

Mine is completely gone and two of the mounting blocks are missing.  I can remake the blocks but would like to know if FYLP's would fit as they make awesome backs.

Thanks!

In case anyone was curious. The RP-1 and the 42-RP-2 have DIFFERENT sized bottom covers. The hole patterns and designs are the same but the overall dimensions are slightly different. Thanks to a fellow member, who traced their original and sent it in to FYLP. Their should be reproduction bottom covers available for the 42-RP-2 soon.

Thanks Kirk, I really appreciate your efforts and willingness to help.

~Jon~
