Dialer drive shaft help needed
#1

I have a Philco 71 and a RCA R-7A that both require some kind of rubber bushing to rotate the dial. There is nothing on either of the dial drive shafts.

The 2nd pic is a pic of a GE S-22 drive shaft, which is the same chassis as the RCA, shows what I need for the RCA.

The problem is I don’t even know what these items are called. I have looked at the parts list but couldn’t find anything that seemed to fit.

Any help as to what these are called and who would carry/sell them it would be greatly appreciated.

Would have a look at the auto parts store. A piece of rubber 1/4" fuel line might fit the bill. Or the hardware store in the rubber grommets section or sometimes the pluming section has some interesting widgets.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

The Philco 71 uses a dial cord, not a piece of rubber.

Details here for the Philco 71:
