Philco 37-60B late capacitors wrong?
#1

I compared my father's radio with the schematic for the 37-60 and numbered most of the parts under the chassis.  Questions I have.  Main question: The big yellow 8MFD cap seems to be an add on that goes to the wrong location (xxx). Would have thought it goes to the existing electrolytic on the left.   #5 - seems to be a 1650 PF cap not the 1650 MF on the original schematic.  #29 on the cap itself is not .015 but .05, different from schematic parts list.

The yellow 8 uF cap is a replacement. It may, or may not, have been connected incorrectly. Trace its wiring and compare to the schematic to be certain. (The electrolytic capacitors will have to be replaced anyway.)

#5 is 1650 pF (mmF), not 1650 mfd. They made an error on the parts list. Leave this cap alone unless you have oscillator problems later on.

#29 is a replacement. Replace it with .015 uF.
