37-116 chassis question
#1

Have any of yous guys tried Simon's clever chassis stand on one of these?
So far it's worked flawlessly on all the Philco chassis I've fitted it to. I did have a bit of time with the 200/201 style. It has a large power transformer at the very front so it wants play jew-jitsu and flip the whole thing over. Could be remedy by mounting the stand to a piece of plywood to offset the awkwardness. The early sets like the 76,77,87,95,96,... are easy enough just turn over. Pretty flat on the top and hardly anything to break.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Terry, you having any luck with the 37-116 on the stand? I'm always willing to improve or make new parts to make it work....

Haven't dug out a 37-116 chassis yet to give it a try. On the other hand my youngest son came over a few days ago and carried up a Griefkit DX-100. So I maybe about to try the stoutness of the chassis stand.
For the non hams the DX-100 is a mid '50s 100w AM-CW transmitter that weighs in at a bit over 100 pounds. https://www.eham.net/reviews/view-produc...er-page=10
