When my pals were reading comic books I was down in the basement in my dad's workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to figure out what all those squiggly meant. Circa 1966 Now I think I've got! Terry

In case you ever work on something other than Philco radios, try this

Hi Bill,
Just as a side note there's a hand full of chassis that use that same setup. The 76,77,87,95, and 96 come to mind. Good luck it's a bit of a pain... Back to the 660L 770AM. Thanks Terry. Is it possible to use regular dial cord on these ?

You can try it but it's got to be really tough. You have some of the original right? It's metal cable. Just to give you an idea what Phico used.

If your 95 is similar to the 514 I restored you might be able to use a flexible, light picture hanger wire. It's a little stiffer than the original but it worked fine.
