42-322 notes - location ???
#1

Klondike had some notes at one point about the restoration of a 42-322. Anyone know where they are?
The link I found doesn’t seem to work.

I’m specifically looking for details about dealing with the rewiring of the switch etc to deal with the hot chassis and power switch etc.

Here's the thread in the Phorum. and here's a pdf of notes I made (the embedded pdf's in the notes are no longer active).

I don't think I talked about the switch but you can read through it. This was my first restoration so I didn't really know what I was doing Icon_confused These sets usually had the neutral side of the power connected to the on-off switch and if I did anything I would have changed that so the hot side went directly to the switch.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. This was quite helpful. I plan to put in a fuse as well as re-wire the power switch as you suggest along with a polarized plug. I’ll research this more and see what else I need to do from a safety perspective.
I only do these AA5 units once a year or so so I always have to look that up every time.
