Arkay Radio Back in Operation
#1

I finally had my little Arkay radio rebuilt and got it home today. Not a bad little radio for being a kit. I also love the way the Plaskon cabinet on mine looks in the dark while on. One warning, this radio will BITE you because they used knobs with set screws. So, either make sure the plug is flipped around the right way or upgrade to polarized plug. Ouch! Just like my little Air Queen console. The only major issue with this radio was the builder messed up on the dial string. It worked, but was overly tight and made unfavorable noises like it would break at any time. So, a new dial string was installed. As far as I know, this radio has been in my local area its whole life.

No matter where you go, there you are.
