Pushbutton Switch replacement
#1

Unfortunately, the switch on my pushbutton bank just failed. The pushbutton assembly is in my Philco 41-300 radio. Has anyone found a source for either the whole assembly, or is it possible to replace just the switch?

Henry,
Go to this site's "site search", philcoradio.com, and search for P.B. switch replacement. There are several techniques. I am about to try the one detailed by Ron, with the switch from Lowes, on my 41-295 which has an open on/off switch also....evidently a common problem. If you come up with a different good fix let us know.

Here's the link.

I strongly suggest you use Raleigh's method instead of mine; Raleigh's method results in a more authentic restoration.

A page on my website illustrates the replacement of a similar switch in a 41-226 using Raleigh's method:

Scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page to see how I replaced this switch with a new switch that looks like the original.
