Yes.
This is my thread on a 96, it uses the same grillclothy as the 111 I havem, msame exact cabinet as yours. Called "Falling leaves". https://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthrea...hlight=111 This is from my 111. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Haven't realized that there in 2014 I did not photograph the finished radio.
Here it is. With G/C. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Nice job on the grille cloth, Mike. Very attractive.

Mike, Trog;
I think the remnants on the 111 board are the same as that used in the model 70s and 90s, it's a 1931 model, the 96 is a 1930 model, either way repro cloth is available for most of the 1931 models. I think that other then the model 21, and the model 50, all the sets were superheterodyne for the 1931 model year. Regards Arran

I have never seen the "falling leaves" or "forest landscape (whatever the real name is)" repro.
I had to replace the cardboard frame for the cloth; it just fell apart. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Mike;
Repro grille cloth for the model 70s and 90s of 1931 is available, the leaf pattern one from 1930 is not, I wish it was but more people were willing to put money into the Baby Grand models, and more sets used the grille cloth of the latter.

Mike, I've always wondered if cardboard baffles are vibrators and should be replaced with wood ones.

Rod
I have no firm opinions on the subject; just the speculative thoughts: Cardboard, especially the one they used, is not a springy material that could vibrate in such a way as to color the sound. Wood, on the other hand, can, especially if just a tad loose in one or more places against the cabinet. That is, when separate from teh cabinet (there probably are cabinets where the from panel is also the baffle). This said, 111/112, while could be a nice sounding radio (I have 111 amd an "X" verison of 112, and 112X sounds quite nice), do not produce a kind of sound where something like that, save for some especially eggregious cases where something buzzes, could color it so you notice the worsening. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
