latest project realistic model STA-240 receiver

I agree, the ones in there now are rated at 105 degrees compared to the previous 85-degree ones, and I’m sure these new capacitors are better engineered. For the smaller capacitors near the resistors, I went with 125-degree high-hour rated ones from Chem-Con. As for that gear, it’s a real pain to reach the pinion drive gear without dismantling the tuning capacitor drive pulley and part of the assembly, so I’ll leave it as is for now. The receiver ran for a few hours yesterday with no issues.

That is the ticket, playing with no problems. I like the looks of that receiver in your test video. I have been looking for a smallish AM/FM tuner amp, would not need a lot of output, 30 watts a channel would be fine. Not looking to rattle the house. Next swap meet maybe I will get lucky. You did a nice job Rich. Paul

Sounds very nice.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
