My Atwater Kent 84
#1

Well getting around to restoring my AK84. Mike was a big part in me being able to snatch this one a few years ago. I won’t be working on it constantly like many people do, only whenever the mood hits me and the weather is bad! Just eyeballing it right now and I will say I see electrolytics have been changed but the schematic calls for 475V units but someone used 450V caps. Can’t find any 475v jobs so will look for some 500v caps which aren’t exactly plentiful on a quick search. Also, some strange to me, looking components especially the one I zoomed in on. That’s the oscillator transformer but looks more like a band switch but isn’t!
