Phorum How-To #10: Forum Display Options
#1

Go to your User CP, then click or tap the Edit Options link.

In this lesson, we are going to examine the Forum Display Options box (upper right).

You can choose how many threads should be displayed in a forum (the default is 50 threads) by clicking or tapping the drop-down box under "Threads Per Page:"

If 50 is too many for you, choose a lower number of threads from the drop-down box.

Now let's take a look at "Default Thread View."

This tells you how many older threads you want to be able to see. You can set the Phorum to display as few as the threads from only the last day, up to every thread in the Phorum database.

The default here is Show all threads. It is strongly suggested that you leave this at the default setting. If, for some reason, you do not wish to see older threads, however, you may change this by clicking or tapping the drop-down box under "Default Thread View:"

When finished, don't forget to click or tap the Update Options button at the bottom or else your changes will not be saved.
