I got my parts chassis for my 16B today. Tonight, I swapped out the LO coil for the high bands, and replaced the 700pf cap from the LO plate to the coil. This makes the last cap in the LO circuit. I also got in my 10K WW pot to replace the interstation noise pot.

Good news: all but the highest band are working extremely well. It will need a tiny bit of retweaking to bring the dial back into alignment. No biggie there.

Bad news: Band 5 is still not working properly. In fact, it now dies out at everything below 14 MHz. No matter what I do, I just can't get that bottom of band 5. Icon_sad I've tried grounding the tuner rotor at various points, to no avail.

Anyone got any more suggestions what to try?
