Didnt use any stripper?
Did you sand by hand?
Going to use spray toner? Stain?
Looks good.

Used a electric hand sander 80 grit paper went over it following the different grains in the wood, being careful to just take the lacquer off to bare wood will go over it with fine paper next apply some light stain to the bottom and the strip just at the top. Then spray Lacquer it all over..Did it the same way to the radio(except for a slightly lighter stain will go on mine) I gave to my Sister..here's a pic of hers

I would highly recommend that you use a chemical stripper next time rather then a sander, there isn't much meat to the veneer all it takes is one slip up and you've burned right through it.
I have a Philco 620 where someone used a an electric disk sander on it, not only are there a bunch of swirl marks but they all but ruined the molding on the front panel. Unfortunately the only way to repair the swirl marks is to reveneer the front panel, they are too deep to sand out, the moldings I'm not sure what to do with.[/u]
