Block capacitor ID help!
#1

Does anyone know what the value is for block cap 7296-B? I can't seem to find it listed on chucks site. It's strange as this cap appears to be an original but is not listed in the parts list for my early version 91. the cap is in the same physical location as part 57 which shows as .18 mfd. but that cap is a totally different number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks!

See the data sheet Ron has posted at http://www.philcoradio.com/tech/blocks.htm and http://www.philcoradio.com/tech/images/bakelite.pdf

7296-B was replaced by 7296-SU which is a 0.002 uF cap between lugs 1 & 3 and lug 1 is not grounded. rated @ 1000v

The 7296-b was 0.002 uf.
