philco 84 Ecap lead placement
#1

I am re-stuffing the can in my 84 and I am lost on where to put the leads. I replace an 8uf and a 4uf but I dont know what wires connect to them.

Do the 2 positives get twisted together and go to the rectifier?

Or do the 2 grounds get twisted?

Not sure of the schematic since I cant read them well.
Schematics here:

Any help on this is appreciated

Kirk,

The top-side leads definitely do NOT get tied together. The 8 uF goes to the rectifier. The 4 uf goes to the top side side of cap 32.

The negative leads are electrically connected. Don't know if they need to be twisted together or not, whichever is easier. These leads go to the center tap of the power transformer and to Cap 28 and resistor 30.

Good luck.

The pos go to your speaker (thats where all leads tie together on my 84)look at the sch at the x connections at white and green/white. When there is a dot on the sch that means that the wires are connected.
