How long do you let a freshly recapped radio cook.
#1

How long do you let a freshly recapped radio cook before you do a final alignment? The 37-690 my father has has been running for about 2 months and I think its finally stabilized. This radio sat for many years in unknown conditions. I would guess damp. I looks like its time to bend over and spend a day aligning this beast!

It's not what you don't know that hurts you it's what you know that's not so.

Hi Bill

I let the sets I restore play for an hour or two before I begin alignment. Point well taken on sets that have obviously been in a damp environment.
