You can install veneer on a sharp radius horizontally by soaking it in veneer softener and using the cabinet as a form. Once dry you can trim and install it. They used steam in the old days......some cabinet makers still do although most use bending irons, heat blankets and vacuum forms. I'm sure there are other ways as well.
