I have a Philco Model 86 I am restoring. I am having a problem with stringing the dial cord. They are metal cords that wind around a back and front grooved pieces. The problem is it is hard to wind this around the back piece because it is hard to get behind where you need to do this. I can take the tuning mechanism out but when I try to to put it back in the cord comes loose.
Do you knoaw how to do this or a source that can help me?
