Some good advice for guys new to grainfilling is try any product first on sample boards. Veneer is relatively cheap and its easy to stick a few varieties to pieces of plywood or even correctly prepared mdf. Often grainfillers need some thinning to behave correctly and its better to work out "material kinks" before you get caught in some hideous material nightmare.
And yeah I understand.."why do you need training wheels". LOL. Mainly Ill do samples with anything new and its also nice to note which color grainfill and toner etc.
