I am restoring a 37-604. The original filter capacitor block, which was 4 sections, has been removed and four tubulars tacked in under the chassis. If possible, I would like to bring the radio back closer to the original and perhaps fabricate some sort of block capacitor with leads, originally installed above chassis.

Does anyone recall what the original capacitor looked like? Metal? Cardboard box? Does anyone have a dud in their junk box?
