116B LO issue
#16

THAT is some nifty troubleshooting, Brenda! Icon_thumbup Icon_thumbup

I'm calling this problem fixed. 8 hours and nary a hint of a problem. Tonight, I repaired the LW trimmer mounts and got that all set up, though it didn't take a lot of work, the actual adjustment changed just a very tiny bit. Also replaced the paper caps that were still left in the tone control. I can't believe how nice this radio sounds, given that about 40% of the cone is gone.

Now I'm waiting for a replacement dial disc from RadioDaze and the chassis is finished. Tomorrow, I'll start work on the cabinet. Wish me luck.

Great. Nice to hear it's working. Icon_thumbup  Now can you do paper mache?

Oh yea and whatever happened with that radio with the dial string issue?

That dial string issue is still an issue, since I honestly have no idea whatsoever how to make it work.

Hey Brenda, what's the trouble with the
vernier drive on that 116?
I may have the info to help you...

The problem is that I simply cannot decipher the silly thing. Needs to be restrung, but I've never seen anything remotely like it, and even with the string diagram on the paperwork, I still can't make sense of it. Icon_sad
