ID this Bracket on Philco 16B chassis
#1

Can't figure what it was used for.
Original to this chassis.

The bracket does not belong there. Someone added it for who knows what.

I think it was used tohold an antenna maybe.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
#5

Like they said.
Definitely not factory original.  Dealer or owner add-on.

Attached to the other side of this bracket is the Wave Trap Assembly (PHOTO)

Inductive Wave Trap with Compensating Assembly

Items 3 and 4 on Parts list

It is covered with a soft crystal looking material. Do not know what that is

Will clean later and see if coil still good.

The Crystal Material looks like the goo when a Battery leaks.
Just had one yesterday AAA Battery leaked and looked the same.

I believe that Bracket was added.
Its use was to hang the Antenna Wire on

I saw another one , not same Bracket , but had about 20 feet of wire wrapped and hung on the bracket.

So I stand by my answer and that is all there is to it.

No don't try to change my mind, it is made up.

Any other ideas Icon_crazy
