Fisher 1800 receiver
#1

Well this was what I was hoping to get at this auction. But went too high for me.

I know this is going to sound crazy...but $632.51 is cheap compared to what its sibling 800-C receivers usually sell for. And I think the 1800s, being more rare than the 800-C, usually command a premium. Most likely, whoever bought this is going to flip it for double the money.

Looking closely at a chassis picture with voltage/rating stamped on it, it indicates 220-240V AC!

I read somewhere that the 1800 was designed for export and/or for sale to military personnel stationed outside the USA.

Thanks Ron, it might be a killer for someone here in the states to purchase unless it is easily modified? The seller might have pointed that out. KCMike , you might have been lucky to not be high bid.

I seen that on the chassis and thought it would have a selector some where to change to 120v.

Your right Jerry, glad now I no buy.Icon_smile

Mike, perhaps it is something easy but would not be a switch change or it would have listed it as a dual voltage. Someone else has bought it and I hope they know more than we do. I will yield to Ron's knowledge of these lovely receivers.
Best, Jerry
