Detrola Series 175 Push Buttons
#1

I have just completed restoration of a Detrola Series 175. When I
received the radion all 8 push buttons were missing and I am having
trouble locating replacements. If anyone has this model and can send
me a couple of good pictures of the push button, along with its
approximate dimensions, I would appreciate it. If you need a picture
of the radio, please email me.

Hi John,
I know it's been a long time since this was posted, but I have a Truetone 727 a lady wanted me to repair. It has all the buttons on it and I'd be happy to send photos and measurements.

That thing is quite a beast. I know the trans is ok, and the motor tuning does work, however it slips a little on the tiny gear.
I might be able to slightly move the gear housing over a couple of mm to make it mesh again.
The tuning ring, I am still going to have to figure it out. I see other models have the same setup.
Will get back to you ASAP.
Gary.

Gary:
I am a little confused. I need the 8 push buttons so I don't understand what you have sent me.

Hi John,
I don't have any pushbuttons to send, but I was going to send photos and measurements of what they look like.
I'll email you photos this afternoon.

Just the plastic part is missing? Or the whole plastic and brass contact rod?

I think that if you had a small lathe or even some plastic rod material, (swirled brown plastic) you'd be able to make your own. I'm going to make the photos now.

Gary.
