Temple G418 Cap ?
#1

I'm doing a little 4 tuber a Temple G418   http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymodel...021823.pdf.  On the print there is a C-8 a cap across the line .1uf @ 600v. I have .1uf @ 630v a regular cap or in a safety cap or I have a Y2 rated .05. Which should I go with?

Thanks Eric

I would use a safety there Eric. I believe it should be an X type.

Yes, X type safety cap is used across the line. Y type are used for line to ground applications.

Mouser, Justradios.com, and Sal's ( http://www.tuberadios.com/capacitors/ ) are some sources

My mistake looked a Photo Fact print first and it looked to be line to Ground. Interesting is they value the cap at .12mf but my dilema has changed a little in X cap's I have .2 or .047mf. In  regular caps I have .1 and .15 @630v. Which should I go with?
