Hi Guy's
I have a Crosley 66TC with I believe has a bad Transformer here is the schematic link.
http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymodel...003576.pdf
I have pulled all the tubes and it pulls .45a at about 40vac and my dim bulb lights up pretty good don't dare go higher. My tube line up is
Fil
5Y3 2a
6sk7 .3a
6sa7 .3a
6v6 .45a
6sq7 .3a
6sk7 .3a
2- type 52 bulbs .2a each
So 5Y3 5v @ 2a
6.3v 2.05a on the others
340vac to center tap so 680-700ct?
I'm looking at some Hammond info and I think the 273DX might work I'm I on track What have I left out ???
Transformer info
https://www.hammfg.com/part/273DX
Thanks

Hi Doc,
You can figure about 7ma each for all the 6v tubes except for the 6F6 it's going to use about 20ma on the HV winding.
So total your looking at 50ma. or better. Other calculations look good.
Don't know what your situation is but I'd buy a few parts chassis for a few dollars rather that a new transformer. But I'm cheap.

Now I think I've got!

Terry, did you mean 6V6?
So it shows 103ma for the HV spec so I should be good. not sure what I will do I don't have anything in the radio it was given to me now I know why.

Yup 6V6.
If you are not in a hurry wait for a radio meet, club meeting, or hamfest. The 5v winding isn't a must as you could use a 6v rectifier tube w/a cathode like an 84 or 6X5 or silicon diodes. W/sd they have much less of a volt drop compared to tubes so you use a 500 or 550v hv winding @50ma.
Physically the Hammond may be a bit large, more current bigger the wire and core.

We just had our swap meet had a decent turn out but not a lot of parts. Charlotte is coming up next month and I usually go that may be the place if I don't by a new one plenty of room on the chassis now I have to think about it! TKS Terry

Slept on it and I thought why not check Play Things and sure enough plenty of power X formers.
1 4519-166 340-0-340@ 65ma, 5v2a, 6.3 2.2a $16.50
2 1525-301 335-0-335@130ma, 5v2a, 6.3 2.25a $19
3 4238-442 340-0-340@ 100ma, 5v2a, 6.3v 4a $15.25
I know I have to give him several choices in case he sold the one but much better prices!

Ok here is an update and new problem. Got the transformer for $16.50 from "Play Things of the Past" got it installed I'ts a bit bigger but plenty of room. Wired it in but got a lot of static with a couple of faint stations and low volume so I did a voltage check and found an open resistor no voltage pin 6 plate on the 6SQ7 (#7 330k) which had a 390k which was open. replaced it and a few others that were way over %15. Problem is with the volume at it's lowest I still get a fair amount of sound. I isolated the pot and I get 935k which it calls for 1 meg so I'm good there, I did notice that
Wiper to the top of the pot is 545 to 935k
Wiper to the bot is 2.2k to 935k
What would cause the vol when it is turned all the way down?
Getting there!
