northern Electric finished
#1

I bought this Northern Electric tombstone radio about three weeks ago and now it is all finished.
I found that the transformer had a shorted secondary, so I used a new one I had bought for my rogers 10-12 .
then I found  that the choke somehow got a hole in it and about 20 wires were broke. I got another one from a good friend of mine  and after all that work, the radio plays very well.
It does not have a dial but rather a backlighted dial that rotates as you turn the knob. For a different band, a different color rotates around
The cabinet  took the regular amount of work , stripping ,staining and toning.
Now it is a keeper.

It is about 5 minutes long.

Very nice looking piece, Dan.

That's a beauty. I love the dial, very classy.
