PHILCO 90 - 47
#1

Philco 90 (47) condensador 30 (100k, 250k y 1 mf)
Muchas gracias.

Hi Ferran,

Please see the labeled schematics that are available here:
http://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=16721

If you have the single 47 version you need this schematic:
http://www.philcoradio.com/images/phorum/schem/90b.jpg

Note that condenser 30 is labeled with wire colors and capacitance values.

green: 0.1uF
white: 0.25uF
(no label): 1.0uF

Good luck!

Hola Ferran,

http://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=16721

http://www.philcoradio.com/images/phorum/schem/90b.jpg

Thank you very much,
As of today I have finished the restoration of the Philco 90 (valve version 47).
I have changed all the capacitors. Empty the old one and put a new one inside the Bakelite capsule. In the same way I performed the emptying of metal capacitors 24 and 30 and replacing current capacitors. In the same way I have proceeded with the two electrolytics. If it were not for two resistances that I had to change for being out of tolerance, the restoration would not be noticed. The cables are all original except for one.
In short, it has been very good.
This morning I made some tests and they have been completely satisfactory. Various stations are heard with extraordinary power.
Actually the Philco 90 is a great radio!
I already want to find another model and proceed with its restoration .....
Greetings to all.

Icon_smile
