37-84 parts list correction
#1

In working on a model 37-84, I happened to notice a mistake on the schematic parts list.  Resistor #22 is listed as a 24K.  The resistor in my chassis and others online were plainly color coded 240K (red yellow yellow).  Took a look at a model 84 parts list and it was also listed as a 240K.  I did notice that on the schematic drawing itself, it does show the #22 resistor correctly as a 240K.  So, beware, on the 37-84 “parts list”…the value is wrong….but the schematic is correct.

HOKE,

Your on your toes!

FYI colors do fade and there are also house marked resistors as well as values chosen by the manufacturer because the colors showed better under mercury vapor mill lighting...
Even values that are "tweaked" during production...

Re-purposing old dog bones by using them at their "new" value is a bad idea too. The old resistor can be noisy, drift with current flow and heating. Stuff that is hardly worth the time to evaluate for 12 cent resistor.

Thanks!

Chas
