At least they got this working again.

Anyone got a tool to fit this? I think it's around 7 or 8mm.

if the red hex is what you want to turn i suggest nothing but a six point socket

Using a metal tool will change the inductance, meaning have to turn a bit, remove tool for effect, replace tool and adjust again and again.

A tool may be able to be fabricated from a rigid thermoplastic sleeve, heated to the point of softening. Then insert a warmed Allen key the same size as the hex in the coil. Allowed to cool...

A source of plastic try using a old tooth brush. Cut right at the narrow part heat with a Bic lighter insert right size allen wrench adjust OD an good to go. Good Luck David

Brenda, you might try a nylon socket head screw as a tool. A 5/16 screw has a wrench size of 1/4 inch, a 3/8 screw is 5/16 which is also very close to 7mm or a M10 screw has a drive size of 8mm.

Renovated Radios do carry what you need. As for the voltage, a wire should be at least 300V-rated.morzh — 11:13 PM
