1936 Philco Model 630X or 640X
#1

Hi, new to the forum.  Recently picked up a 1936 Philco, either a model 630X or 640X.  The original electronic components, as well as the front face of the radio were replaced.  Would like to know where to find the original front with dials to restore the radio (not as concerned about the original electronic components).

So and original 630X would look like this: https://philcoradio.com/gallery2/1936a/#Model_630X

Two ways to get a new front panel would be to
1) make one yourself with new veneer and inlay.  If you do that then you can cut the openings in the panel to fit whatever chassis you are going to put into it or..
2) get a panel from a donor set which will have the knob holes and escutcheon opening that fit the 630x chassis.

You can put a Wanted Ad in our Wanted Ad section, keep an eye on ebay and Craigs List and check out any vintage radio swap meets that might be in your area. I also moved this thread into the Cabinet Restoration section.
