Just got this set. Plays great no hum ect. All original should i replace any of the caps to be safe.

I would do so. Ten bucks or so and an hour or two at the bench, and you should be good for another decade or two. Add a fuse too.

Ditto what Codefox said.
If you plan on using your radio, then you should always replace all of the paper and electrolytic capacitors! Also check the resistors and replace any found to be more than 20% more or less than the published values. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand IN
