Need help ID'ing console ('29 Model 65?)
#16

OK, looking at the schematic the #1 goes to the condenser block; I edited the post to reflect that.

Good call on the other schematic. I just looked over the circuit; the 4 and 5 wires are going to the larger pins on the 80, which are the heater pins, I believe.

The original and replacement power transformers have slightly different outside construction. Am I going to need to fire up these transformers on the bench (removed from the radio) to verify their output voltages?
#17

... and that's what it was. The model 65 I have is a 25 hz model, with the #3 center tap going to the 1 and 2 pins. The replacement that I have is the other style, matching the schematics.

Good news is that the old xfrmer was fine, I just didn't have the right schematic in hand. And it's ready to go, I rewired it for practice this weekend before doing the other one. Debating whether to swap it back in or just rewire what's there now to be correct.
