PT-6 new project
#1

Found a PT-6. This is in average shape covered in a thick mat of dirt/grease. Clearly this spent time in a kitchen.

The wiring is all rubber and needs replacement. The loop antenna needs a replacement piece of wood. It’s been previously worked on as there’s a non-spec filter cap. Nothing else appears to have been touched. Power cord was complete loss obviously. Case appears to have normal wear and tear e.g. scratches, dents. Missing knobs.

Fundamentally this appears sound with the usual expected problems. Removal of antenna requires 1/4 nut driver as does tuning cap.

Given the wiring issues and the dirt/grease I’ve gone ahead and removed the tuning cap to give it a full cleaning. Before and after pics below- it cleaned up nicely.

Rest of this seems a routine job. No parts in strange places, buried under non-removable parts etc.
