I purchased a 47-1230 Philco that is beautiful and I really want to restore it. Can anyone give me some info on this model if it is worth anything or just looking good restored in my home?? Icon_biggrin

Hi And Welcome!
Was made in 1947 and covers the AM broadcast and FM broadcast band + 1 Shortwave band. In '47 FM was pretty new and this set probably doesn't afc (auto frequency control) it help keeps the FM stations tuned in. Here is the manual for for it: http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/606/M0013606.htm

As to the value it's hard to say. Condition plays a big part. You may what to look at similar ones on ebay and see what they are bring. Some guys like the older sets that are AM and Shortwave and sometime being a console can be a minus if space is a problem.
