Philco 116 repro dial scale
#1

Any comments offered for the reproduction Philco 116 dial scale as sold by Radio Daze? Is the plastic clear enough for the dial lamps to shine through? Are there better repros available?
#2

Yes - a translucent repro dial from Mark Oppat.

(scroll down towards the bottom of the page to find the 116 listing)

The Radio Daze dials are too pale yellow, they look like an obvious repro.

If you don't mind a laminated dial scale with some limitation to the light that can pass through, I think I have a copy of the artwork around here somewhere. I've made my own laminated dial scales. I make mine more of an amber color so they do not stand out like the proverbial sore thumb, but they still do not pass as much light as Mark's translucent scales do.
