Empty cabinet?
#1

I found a Philco 60-505 cabinet only in my father's storage unit after he passed away. It is in bad shape, with peeling veneer and the legs have some wood missing. Also, as said before, it has no insides, it is only the empty cabinet.

My question is would anybody even want this? or should I just junk it? If someone would possibly want to buy this item, what would a fair price be?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome.

Honestly, if the cabinet is in poor shape and has significant amounts of veneer missing, not to mention the wood you say is missing from the legs, then this cabinet would probably be better off junked.

If it still has the escutcheon, remove it - you might be able to sell it to someone on here.

I just got rid of a 60L lowboy cabinet, probably identical to yours, which could have been restored; but I had no place to keep it. The chassis and knobs went into a 60B cathedral cabinet, and the escutcheon was set aside for possible future use.
