SC and Philco from CL
#1

$40 got me this clean working 1939 SC 430H nine tuber along with the innards of a Philco 630 and a suitcase full of pulls. No 45s but four 80s and a 99 so far. Can anyone tell if the 630, code 121 is a '35 or '36?

Sounds like a good haul to me, even if there are no 45's. Icon_thumbup There's got to be a chest full of 45's out there somewhere. Thar be good booty if one of us find it. Ar! Icon_lol

No matter where you go, there you are.

The 630 is a 1936 model, introduced June 1935 as a 1936 model; and it looks like this is what you have, the remains of a 630X console.

Congratulations on your finds!

Thanks Ron. I wish they had made the oval lens for a longer period. IMO it looks better than the later round ones.
Oh well, I do like them all.

Nice job!! I've got my eye on a model 645 that's at local and is at a second hand store. At the end of the month everything goes for 1/2 price. Makes it a good deal then. Like I need another radio. Your dial on the SC looks just like the one on the console set I had back in the '60s

Now I think I've got!
