Guide to TV Repair
#1

Is there a good modern day and simple to use book or guide written to repair older tube type TV's? Not talking about the tube puller's specials. Something more in depth.

Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Gary:

There are a number of good books out there but the one that I found most useful and the one I still refer back to today is "TV Servicing Guide" by Deane and Young put out by Sams Publishing. My copy is a 1976 edition and I do not know how long it was reprinted. Usually you can get a copy on eBay. The book breaks down problems in each section of the set, e.g. IF, horizontal, etc.

Thanks Steve. I'll look for it.
