Model 37-60 - Question
#1

Hi guys,

I'm trying to expand my collection and thought I'd go a little earlier (pre-1940) than I'm used to.
What do you think of this model?

Run! Well for starters the fotophinsh is GONE! Look at the pic in the Gallery of the same set. Looks like it may need a speaker??. It's also a D Grimes special (separate RF chassis) This one isn't too bad to work on because it is a low end set. Look at the sides of the cabinet. It looks like it maybe splitting or something the grain of the wood looks odd. Check the dial to see if it has any of it's original markings on it. And the dial escutcheon should be black not polished.
You could do much better!!
Terry
ps It's missing a filter cap too.
pss Just noticed that I was looking at the spare chassis think that it was the only one the set came with. I don't no for $13 maybe but with the fotophinish gone to me it's pretty worthless and I wouldn't want to invest the time and parts to fix it properly.
