46-420 Hippo dial pointer help?

I'm restoring one of these and the pegs in the cabinet that hold the bracket for the dial pointer have been broken off. Anybody know what a good remedy to this might be?

You could possibly (carefully!) drill a hole where the broken off peg is and press a metal pin in its place. Either a dowel pin or a roll pin might work. I'm working on my second 46-420 during this past week. Luckily neither of them had the pegs broken off, but the clips holding the pointer bracket to the cabinet didn't want to budge. Had to finally add a drop of penatrating oil over each of them to get them to loosen up.

If you still have the peg you could glue it back on with two part epoxy, remove the spring clip first though.

I don't have the old pegs so it's either find some replacements to glue on or drill some small holes and stick something in there that's a good replacement.
