Interesting question came up on the Philco Mantle Clock Radios. What Color was the Finials for these. I have owned both and mine were repro's that were GOLD.

I have an untouched Original 80 here now missing all 3. I also have another 551 which has 3 finials 2 broken 1 in good original Condition. They are stained in Natural Walnut.

My Question what was used. My Google of the 2 shows all GOLD so far.

Any Opinion on the matter. Having some re-pros made and wonder what I should order

Hmmm. All of the ones I have seen were gold, at least on the 551s.

I do not recall what the 80 finials color was, they are rarer than the 551s.
